About Us

My name is Fred, and I am The Orca Man.

I created this platform at the end of university as a way to further connect people with Killer Whales and the communities around them. That can look like online content, ecotourism, and in the case of this site, periodicals and apparel.

All of these help support my mission of bringing you closer to the species.

The first shirt I ever created was in collaboration with a local Vancouver brand, Catbob, whose owner Rob has and continues to be my partner in apparel. Together, we source REAL ARTISTS, and he prints all of the apparel in house in Vancouver. Because we operate locally, all drops are limited in time and quantity.

But most of the year there is no apparel available, and the main holding for this site is The World of Orcas Zine. I created the zine in April of 2025, and have been sending out 22 pages of updates, art and information about Orcas monthly since. This zine is designed largely by myself, with contributions from notable Orca personel. 

My guarantee is that throughout any artistic process, anyone who contributes is PAID, and no generative AI is used across any part of the process for items or content.
